Rules For Forum Postings
The purpose of these rules is to ensure that our users have a place to 'chat' about gaming. With that in mind, the following rules will be strictly enforced. We appreciate your help in making this board a truly enjoyable place for folks to visit.
Free registration is required to participate in our discussions -- it gives you more capabilities, and hey; the price is right. The more registered members, the more folks who'll be involved and the better board we'll ultimately have. Now, pull up a keyboard and get in on the conversation.
Made to Raid has put the following rules in place for the message board to ensure enjoyment by all users. Our goal is to make sure these forums are a positive experience for everyone. Users who continue to violate the rules of posting messages on the message board will be entered into a database of Banned Users. This information will include your IP address, your login name and your e-mail, so we can track you -- and ban you -- even if you post under multiple names and/or e-mail addresses. So please play by these simple rules. Posting using someone else's username is strictly prohibited.
The establishment of these rules have been given much consideration by Made to Raid and are designed to foster and promote a congenial and professional atmosphere in all of our forums. All persons posting in these forums should be treated with respect and in a manner which will create an enjoyable experience for all. Like my mother used to say, "Treat others like you'd like to be treated." -- pretty basic stuff. These rules are not contestable.
If you have a problem or have caught someone you feel is in direct violation with the rules of Made to Raid, please contact an administrator or moderator with full details. The best way to contact a moderator to report a post is to click the on the ! that is found at the top of every post on these forums.
1. No vulgar language or profanity - This includes inappropriate words, inappropriate sexual references and other vulgar statements. Some of these words may be automatically filtered out and replaced with " !@#$%& ", but there's no need to test the system.
2. No threatening, abusive or harassing comments - You can disagree all you want, but there is a line -- and it is not to be crossed. While we encourage lively debate, we will not tolerate personal attacks.
3. No slanderous or libelous posts - Knowingly making false claims about a company, organization or an individual is strictly prohibited.
4. No discussion or challenge to our editing policy are allowed within the forums - If you disagree, or want clarification as to why a particular topic, post or individual was removed, you must contact Made to Raid moderators. Moderators will not respond to any inquiries or challenges of these rules or decisions on the public forum, but will respond to e-mail/PM inquiries.
5. No advertising or product marketing - No explicit advertising of commercial products. An advertisement is categorized as an attempt to solicit business. Any such posts or signatures may be edited or completely removed. If you're interested in advertising on Made to Raid please send us an email at ganiman [at] madetoraid [dot] com.
6. Do not include HTML in your postings - Any mistake could make the remaining messages unreadable by other visitors. HTML can also be misused to link to inappropriate material. A misspelling or error in any html could cause problems with the server. We provide BBCode -- which is like html but safe for our board on a large scale.
7. No spamming - do not post the same message in multiple forums. Only post your message into the topic it most relates too.
8. Members are to respect the designated TOPIC AREAS when posting their message - This includes off-topic information that does not belong in the game forum areas.
9. The inclusion of pictures within messages is allowed on this site - Referring to images on other sites should be done so sparingly if at all. This not only uses up bandwidth between sites, but often the images are copyrighted and protected by that site. When posting images try to keep them under 512 x 384 resolution and under 35K in size.
10. Communications that are meant for only one person (not the community) don't belong in the forums - Please utilize the provided Private Messaging system or e-mail for communications to individuals. The board gets extremely busy, and these type messages take up space (and push legitimate messages to the next page where they may not be seen.
We reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless, Made to Raid and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We reserve the right to revoke your membership to the forum or disable your posting ability for any or no reason whatsoever.
Remember, if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it. Let's work together to make this a place the entire community can feel welcome.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us, your input is always welcome.
Best regards,
